This home is created to be the base for the entire family. Nestled next to a golf course, the clients came with the idea of a classic English cottage and arches. The idea was to give them the feeling of a private English cottage but it needed to fit within the context of the city of Casper. I approached this design by creating the private, public, and garage wings to have a cottage feeling while the entry is in contrast with the modern steel facade and arched windows. I felt that this gave balance to the facade with the femininity of the arch and the masculinity of the steel.

The living spaces are connected to a recessed interior courtyard, this will allow the clients to feel like they have privacy while living on a public golf course. It was achieved by large windows directed to the courtyard and minimizing the windows that are directed to the golf course.
