The historic nature of the Caretakers Cottage made it an interesting project to work on. When walking through the existing building the original essence of the building is what we strived to preserve.

The vision of this building was to have the ability to show the users the space of what a house would look like in this era but also have creative liberties with “The Shining” movie.

The first floor is an immersive experience to the users and allows them to step back in time to experience the original 1903 Caretaker’s Cottage. While the second floor has the two bedrooms that are dedicated to “The Shining”. The first bedroom is based on the young twin girls the say the famous line “come and play with us Danny.” The second bathroom was dedicated to the famous green and yellow bathroom.
